As part of SQSPCA’s Reading to Animals program, local author, Bridget Chamberas, will be sharing her new children’s book Bridget Finds a Home at the shelter on Saturday, Nov 11 at 11am. This program is recommended for children ages 6-9, grades 1-3, to support literacy with emergent readers and provide an introduction to reading out loud as a source of socialization for shelter animals. This program will include a reading by the author, a tour of the facility, and some time for arts & crafts. Information about joining our Volunteer Program to read to animals will be available.
*Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
This program is sponsored in part by Stewart’s Holiday Match and Reading is Fundamental – Oneonta Chapter.
