How to relinquish an animal:

If you would like to bring your dog or cat to the Susquehanna SPCA to be rehomed, please first give us a call at 607-547-8111, extension 102 so that we can discuss your situation and set up an appointment if relinquishment is the best option.

Surrenders are processed on the following days/times:

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 11a.m. to 2p.m.

At your appointment, you will be asked to sign an owner release form and an fill out an animal history form so that we can learn as much as we can about your pet in order to find them the best fit for their personality and needs.

Please bring medical paperwork and any other information you have on your pet.

Animals we cannot take or are not eligible for adoption:

• Feral cats (feral meaning cannot be handled)
• Animals who have been attack-trained
• Animals who display severe aggression in such a way that our staff cannot safely handle them
